Letting someone else do your dirty work for you
It’s not that most stock market players are averse to doing their own dirty work. It’s just that when an opportunity shows up for someone to do your dirty work for you, it makes you feel a little cleaner to know that you’re profiting from someone else’s exploitation or oppression.
Then there’s the fact that you get to hang out with billionaires and oligarchs.
Is there any difference?
I think it’s that being called a billionaire means that there’s still hope for your soul, that you haven’t completely gone over to the dark side. You can still do a little philanthropy to polish-up your ‘eliteness’ and burnish your bona fides.
After a certain point, it’s all about image. You know what they say—perception is reality.
The reason perception is reality is we’re so good at deceiving ourselves.
For example, after tens of thousands of years of waging wars, we’re still convinced that war is essential to peace.
We still think it’s okay to profit from misery.
Humanity’s mission is obviously to dominate the earth and extract any value we can while there is still some value to be extracted. Plus, we’re obligated to do it by exploiting no only other humans, but any other species that gets in our way needs to be eradicated.
We’ve got to change the way we do things.
The billionaires and oligarchs aren’t going to be any help.
They’ll never admit that what we’re doing isn’t working. After all, they’ve convinced themselves it is working for them. The evidence couldn’t be clearer.
You know… perception is reality.
Let’s imagine another reality. Together. Let’s dream together.
Let’s change our minds.
We have to change our minds. We can’t let this continue.
We know how this story ends. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy that perpetually profits off misery.
We have to change our minds.
Why should we continue to perpetuate systems and societies that exploit people, the earth and future generations?
We’ve got to change the way we do things. To do that, we’ve got to change our minds. We’ve got to liberate our hearts.
It will take changing our minds so we can find the reasons to make better choices. It will take changing our minds so we can see consequences and their causes.
It will take changing our minds so we can see how we get in our own way.
It will take changing our minds so our minds are willing to work with our hearts instead of ignoring the wisdom inherent in our heart.
We must change on a fundamental level.
We must change on a massive scale.
We must change before we can no longer do it.
Obviously we need a miracle. If you want to attribute that miracle to God or to magic or to people working with the laws of nature, it doesn’t matter. We all still need to do our part.
It’s the least we can do.
Spread the word.
Let’s dream together.
